Delft Holland Band Tour.

On the afternoon of Saturday 25th May 2019 we were one of four Bands which played on the Market Square in Delft, near the Niewe Kerk. Alder Valley Brass played to a well attended audience.

Delft Holland Band Tour.

The Band's second concert on their Dutch tour was held outside the Market Hall in Rotterdam, and again it was a very well attended concert.

The band was also able to take some time out after their two successful concerts to relax and take in the local culture.

July 2018

The bandstand in Mill Meadows, Henley on Thames hosts a summer programme of weekend performances.
Alder Valley Brass were there at the beginning of July and played to a large audience, which sat under the trees by the river to listen, on what was a very hot, sunny afternoon.

The Church of the Good Shepherd, Four Marks was the venue for a very successful concert in April 2018. Well known music was played, some of the players also did solos.

In December 2017 we had an amazing concert at the John the Evangelist Church in Godalming with the Guildford Vox Community Choir.

The Bourne Show 2017

The Bourne Show, with its idyllic setting and carnival atmosphere, is one of the high points of the Farnham summer season. The traditional village show, which has taken place on the Bourne Green, Lower Bourne in Farnham for nearly 90 years, provided a great afternoon out for all the family and raised money for local charities and good causes.


2017 Henley Royal Regatta finals day

The sun shone and the crowds were out for Henley Royal Regatta finals day, which this year was on Sunday July 2nd 2017. The band took part in the ‘Music by the River' series of concerts. People came along with their picnics, sat in the park and listened to the popular music which was played.

The band were playing for charities, this year we are supporting Woodlarks Trust. It was a very warm day in Guildford rising to 29.5c. Thank you to the players, deps, collectors, Lee and of course all the people who came to listen and gave so generously, the collection will be split between two charities, Woodlarks Trust and the Band.

St Andrews Church

St Andrews Church, Farnham, Concert

A concert was held in November 2016 at St Andrews Church, Upper Church Lane, Farnham. Following the success of last years event, Alder Valley Brass were pleased to return to St Andrews to present an evening of band and organ music featuring local organist, Richard Anderson.

Alder Valley Brass lead the 2016 Remembrance Day parade through Farnham to the War Memorial. A variety of quiet reflective music was played during the wreath laying ceremony. The band then lead the way to a church service at St Andrew's church in Farnham. Cllr and Mrs John Ward, were in attendance.

In December 2016 Alder Valley Brass played to a full house at the Aldershot Football annual carol service at the Holy Trinity Church, Victoria Road, Aldershot.

Longstock Park Water Garden

Alder Valley Brass were fortunate to be granted one of the twelve charity days at Longstock Park Water Garden. This is a part of the Leckford Estate which is fully owned and managed by Waitrose. Alder Valley Brass collected money to enable them to purchase new uniforms.

Victoria Parade

Victoria Parade, Aldershot

The band took part in the Victoria Parade in Aldershot. They received third prize from the Mayor of Rushmoor, Councillor Jacqui Vosper. The fun started at 10am with market stalls, live music, dance, free kids activities and much more! The grand parade went through the centre of Aldershot.

Guildford street


In June the band spent five hours in Guildford playing for charity.

There were lots of people in the town who gave generously after listening to the music.

Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, Farnham

Alder Valley Brass raised a fantastic £1,769 for local hospice Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, Farnham, through a second year of Christmas street performances. They met with the Hospice’s Community Fundraising Manager Ashleigh Tennent, to present her with a cheque.

Princes Garden Bandstand, Aldershot

Picnics and chairs were brought along to see the band in August 2015 at Princes Garden Bandstand, Princes Way, Aldershot. The band played for two hours.
